The Association
 The IEMA Guindy founded in 1959 has been active vociferous spokesman of , not only for the
Occupants of  Guindy but also the Small Enterprises of Tamil Nadu as a whole. Started with barely
12 members, IEMA now has over 550 registered members, from small , tiny & other Industries.
This association is a Registered Body. Has own Building - RV Towers, named after
Mr.R.Venkataraman, former President of India, who has been instrumental in building the estate.
The association protects & works to find solutions to many problems of entrepreneurs besides
organizing training programs, seminars and get gather with authorities for redressal of grievances.

The association is represented in the following Government Bodies:
 State Small Industry Board, District Employment  Advisory Body Committee,
 Regional Advisory Committee & Public Grievances
Redressal Committee of Central Excise Department, Tamil Nadu Technology Mission ,
State Level Advisory Committee of Small Industries Service Institute, Labour welfare board,
Governing Council of Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Bureau , Study group on Development of
Small Enterprise set up by Planning Commission, New Delhi, Delayed Payment Act, Industry
Facilitation Councils, Sate Level Committee for selection of entrepreneurs for Awards. :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
The Estate
 The Guindy Estate was founded by our former Rashtrapathyji Thiru.R.Venkataraman, when he was
Minister for Industry in Government of Madras in the year 1956.Tamil Nadu Small Industry Development
Corporation - SIDCO  administrating the estate now. The Estate has all the infrastructure needed by
the industry and is centrally located in the prime locality of the city of Chennai. Total area of over
400 acres of land of the estate houses small , tiny units besides development Institutions, Banks,
training centers, functional industrial complexes for garments, electronics etc
